Automation & Motion Control Engineer (Siemens PLC)

Aargau Canton, Switzerland
Long-Term Position (full-time permanent role for an initial fixed-term of 3 years with the possibility of extension).

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining PLC programming, automation engineering, motion control, commissioning and hands-on technical problem solving.

Your Responsibilities

Design, develop and commission automation solutions

Program, configure and maintain Siemens PLC systems

Work with motion control and positioning systems

Support electrical drive technologies and industrial automation equipment

Develop and optimise automation platforms

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions

Support maintenance and continuous improvement activities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Participate in system integration, testing and commissioning activities

What We Are Looking For

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field

Experience within industrial automation environments

Strong PLC programming skills

Excellent knowledge of Siemens PLC systems and programming, ideally Siemens SIMATIC, including ST/SCL and FUP

Good understanding of sensors, actuators, measurement systems and industrial control technologies

Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Hands-on engineering mindset with a proactive approach
