IT Supply Chain Lead (Medical Device Sector)
Job Description:
IT Supply Chain Lead (Medical Device Sector)
Bern Region | Hybrid |
Do you enjoy sitting where IT meets real production — warehouses, factories, quality systems, logistics flows?
Were supporting an international medical device manufacturer whose products are used every day by patients worldwide. Reliability, compliance, and smart system design are non-negotiable here.
This role is about owning how supply chain IT actually works, globally.
What Youll Own
Youll be the person accountable for the technology enabling supply chain operations — from how materials move, to how quality is documented, to how systems talk to each other across sites.
Youll lead a small but critical team and decide what gets built, improved, or fixed.
Your Day-to-Day
- Take responsibility for IT platforms supporting logistics, sourcing, quality processes, and technical services across multiple international sites
- Ensure systems remain reliable while coordinating upgrades, enhancements, and new capabilities
- Guide and develop a team of IT professionals, balancing delivery, coaching, and prioritisation
- Introduce smarter ways of working through automation, system integration, and data-driven improvements
- Work closely with operational leaders to convert business needs into workable, compliant IT solutions
- Coordinate external partners and control spending within your scope
What We are Looking For
- Solid experience running IT solutions in supply chain or manufacturing environments
- Strong familiarity with SAP-driven landscapes in logistics or production contexts
- Educational background in IT, engineering, business informatics, or equivalent experience
- Broad understanding of how procurement, quality systems, and maintenance interact in industrial settings
- Track record of leading teams and taking accountability for outcomes
- Comfortable operating in regulated industries where documentation and reliability matter
- Professional-level German and English
Why This Is Interesting
- Systems you manage directly support medical devices used by patients globally
- International responsibility without endless travel
- Real ownership — not just coordination
- Hybrid working in Switzerland
- Long-term role in a stable, growing med-tech environment
