Senior Modern Workplace Engineer (M365)

Zurich, Switzerland | 2–3 Days Home Office | Permanent

We are currently supporting a well-established Swiss IT services & consulting environment in their search for a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to join their growing team in Zurich. We are also open to strong mid-level engineers ready to step into a senior role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern workplace environments, combining cloud technologies, automation & engineering excellence — not just support.

Your Role:

As part of a modern workplace engineering team, you will:

Drive the evolution of cloud-based workplace infrastructure (M365 environment)
Design & implement scalable, automated solutions
Lead and contribute to customer-facing IT projects
Take ownership of 3rd level engineering topics & complex troubleshooting
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (architecture, operations, security)
Help shape future workplace technologies & standards

What we're looking for:

5+ years experience in IT Systems / Workplace Engineering
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 (essential)
Solid experience in:

• Client Engineering
• MDM
• Application Packaging

Nice to have:

• Intune / SCCM
• Endpoint security exposure

Experience working in larger, complex IT environments
Proven background in projects & 3rd level engineering (not support profiles)

Your Profile:

Fluent German (C1+) & strong English
Team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
